A height of cruelty with humanity took place…A woman in Indian state Bihar had been locked up in the bathroom for three years… Her husband and in-laws locked her up in the bathroom for higher dowry demands which couldn’t be met.

The police on special information raided the house Prabhat Kumar Singh (victim's husband) and rescued her. While giving her statement to the police, she said she was locked up in the bathroom and not allowed to meet her child. She was given leftover, but at times. She further said that apart from dowry demands, she was punished due to giving birth to a baby girl rather than a baby boy.

The police have registered FIR against her husband and in-laws and taken them into custody. The woman burst into tears when her three year old daughter couldn’t recognize her.
