World Health Organization (WHO) has held pharmaceutical companies responsible
for the spread of Ebola virus.
The Director General of WHO Mr. Margaret Chan, while addressing a
conference termed pharmaceutical companies as ‘greedy for profits’…These
companies do not take interest in developing medicine for markets from where
they cannot get money…This is the reason why they haven’t produced any vaccine yet,
despite the fact that the virus was discovered 40 years ago.
5000 people have been killed by the virus in
Africa so far, but the pharmaceutical companies decided to do something for the
sake of humanity when that virus reached USA and Spain.
